THE WORK OF FALL

Before I start, I’d like to apologize for not posting in months. I have had a busy summer and if I am being honest, I haven’t been inspired to take the time to sit down and write. But I want to say thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to keep at it! I appreciate and love your support so much! So here you go…Let’s talk about my FAVORITE season….

I’m a little late getting this out, but September is finally here! You know what that means…Bring. On. FALL! You know, that lovely middle child perfectly nestled between hot, sweaty summer and freezing cold winter. Fall is just the best season! But besides my love for everything pumpkin related, it’s my favorite season because it’s a season of reflecting…

Fall serves to remind us that it is time to slow down from the intensity of summer. Falling leaves, shorter days and colder nights all serve as signs that nature is winding down and preparing for the quiet, calm time that will come in the winter. With that, fall is an excellent time to reflect on your own “harvest”.

As you watch the leaves flutter to the ground, take time to let go of what no longer serves you, and focus on what is of value to you. Break old patterns and try examine things through a new lens. Now is the perfect time to release the past and free yourself to move forward in life.

So whatever changes are calling you this season, honor them. This is the work of the fall season.

Thankful
