“Mom…Now that I’m older, I realize more and more everything you did, everything you gave, and most important, everything you stand for and I love you and thank you with all of my grateful heart.” – Jennifer Fujita

Dear Mom,

It is impossible to put into words how much I love and appreciate you. From who you are as a person to the person you raised me to be, everything about you is absolutely beautiful. I know I don’t say thank you nearly enough, but….

Thank you for being my support system and biggest fan.

Thank you for leading by example and showing me the true definition of a strong and independent woman.

Thank you for your continued positivity that has taught me to see the silver lining in every situation.

Thank you for showing me how to handle hardship with grace.

Thank you for dealing with my Monday blues even when Monday was days ago.

Thank you for teaching me the art of patience because in life, sometimes all you can do is wait.

Thank you for being selfless when I was being selfish.

Thank you for listening to my drama just because you knew I needed to vent.

Thank you for always believing in me even when anxiety and doubt clouded my mind.

Thank you for letting me worry about irrelevant things.

Thank you for forgiving me even when I hurt your feelings.

Thank you for teaching me how to handle conflict and admit when I am wrong.

Thank you for always giving me a shoulder to cry on during heartbreak and answering my calls at 1am.

Thank you for always making sure I was taken care off even when you were sick.

Thank you for teaching me how to stand up for myself.

Thank you for giving up everything so I could have the world.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being you, and thank you for finding the perfect balance of mother and friend. Because of you, I know the kind of woman and mother I want to be. Without you, I would not be the person I am today. I love you mom. You’re my hero!

  1. That was. Beautiful. I am so proud of you! And the joy I have as a parent to see happiness in their child. I see that in you and so much more that you are contributing to this world. I love you with all my heart!
